Editor review

Domino Place is a tile-placement puzzle where you place dominoes (two-cell tiles) on a grid to cover all squares. Each cell of a domino must contain a specific number; the puzzle is figuring out the orientation and placement that satisfies all constraints.

What works is the deduction logic. Each puzzle has a unique solution, and the deduction chain is reasonable to work through with patience. The format is closely related to Pentomino-puzzle solving and shares the satisfying click-of-fit when a piece locks into the correct position.

Sixty puzzles across three grid sizes from 4x6 up to 8x10. Small grids solve in a few minutes. Medium grids take ten to twenty minutes, and the large grids are weekend projects with one or two taking me multiple sessions.

Tested over four return commute sessions plus a longer weekend solve attempt. Touch with drag-to-place-domino works fine. Mouse-drag is the same idea on desktop. The format is input-agnostic enough that hardware does not matter.

Where the game falls short is the absence of progress saving mid-puzzle. If you partially solve a large puzzle and have to stop, your progress is lost on app restart. This is a significant flaw for a commute-targeted format. A simple save-state-per-puzzle would solve the issue.

Where I would push back is the level-difficulty grouping. Within a grid size, levels are not ordered by difficulty. A 6x8 level might be easy or hard with no warning. This makes the format harder to recommend for casual players who want a smooth ramp.

Three stars. Functional domino-placement puzzle with solid deduction logic. Missing save-state and inconsistent difficulty ordering keep it at three.
