Editor review
Lighthouse Watch is a contemplative adventure set in a single lighthouse during a week of storms. Players are the temporary keeper investigating the previous keeper's disappearance.
What works is the storm-atmosphere. Wind and rain plus ocean waves are rendered with appropriate audio direction. The atmosphere is what carries the format.
Four hours of campaign across one storm week. The format is contemplative rather than puzzle-heavy.
Tested over one weekend session. Mouse-and-keyboard suits the format.
Where the design tries hardest is the lighthouse-mechanics. Maintaining the lighthouse beam and refilling lamp oil, plus polishing the lens periodically. The mechanical-realism gives the contemplative format texture.
Where I would push back is the format's narrow scope. Four hours is short for the atmospheric investment. Extended content would have justified the careful audio work.
Three stars. Functional contemplative adventure with thoughtful storm atmosphere. Limited by short campaign length.
