Editor review
Zombie Flicker is a basic zombie-themed adventure with the zombie aesthetic grafted onto generic mechanics. Twelve missions of corridor-walking and basic puzzles.
What works is the basic input. Movement and interaction work as expected.
What does not work is the absence of any depth beyond the zombie theme. The puzzles are generic and the missions follow standard adventure tropes. The zombie aesthetic does not add anything mechanically beyond visual reskinning.
Tested over two evening sessions before stopping. Touch, mouse, and keyboard all work.
Where the game tries hardest is the zombie-visual variety. Twenty zombie types with distinct appearances. The visual side does not let down the format; the design does.
Where I would push back is the ad load. Ads between every mission with paid-skip option. The basic adventure format does not justify this load.
Two-and-a-half stars. Functional zombie-themed adventure with thin design. Skip in favour of better adventures.
