Editor review
Lap Bouncer is a circuit racer with jump sections built into the track. Standard cornering interspersed with launch ramps that send the car flying over obstacles. The format is reminiscent of Trackmania (2006) with simpler editor scope but the same satisfying loop.
What works is the jump physics. Cars catch air and land with appropriate body roll and suspension response. The mid-air control is limited but present, with the option to rotate slightly to adjust landing angle. This is the right balance between arcade-flight and physics-grounding. Hop a corner with the right angle and you carry speed; misjudge and you crash.
Twenty tracks across four difficulty cups. Each cup adds new jump types: sequential jumps, side-banked launches, loop sections, blind landings. The variety of jump challenges is what distinguishes Lap Bouncer from a standard circuit racer.
Tested with gamepad mostly. Touch and keyboard are supported but the jump-prep timing benefits from analog throttle modulation. Gamepad analog stick is the right input.
Where the design earns its rating is the track-editor. A simple but functional track editor lets you build your own jump sections and share them with the community. The community-creation pool is small but growing, and a few player-made tracks rival the official cup tracks.
Where I would push back is the visual presentation, which is solid but unmemorable. The format would benefit from more distinct track environments. The current tracks share too much visual DNA, and a few outlier environments (perhaps urban or jungle settings) would add personality.
Four stars. Strong jump-focused racer with usable track editor. Recommended for racing fans who want trackmania-flavoured action.
