Marcus Reyes

Marcus has been writing about games since 2017, mostly for Spanish-language sites that served the Iberian market. He covered everything from PC indie releases to mobile freemium titles, and built a reputation for blunt opinions and clean technical analysis. When his main publisher folded in early 2024 in the wider games-media contraction, he pivoted to English-language coverage and joined AJ Arcade in 2026.

He works from Barcelona, tests games on a 2018 Toshiba laptop that he refuses to replace because he says the touchpad is calibrated correctly and replacing the machine would mean recalibrating his muscle memory. The Toshiba shows up in his reviews as the low-end testing benchmark for browser racing and shooter games. If a game does not run well on it, Marcus says so, which makes his reviews useful for players on similar hardware.

Marcus covers most of the racing reviews and all the shooters. He also picks up the harder platformers, which he plays for the same reason he plays competitive football: getting yelled at by his monitor is, in his framing, part of how he relaxes.
