Editor review
Ledge Grab is a platformer with broken auto-ledge-grab mechanics. Your character is supposed to automatically grab ledges within reach when jumping. The implementation works inconsistently, with sometimes-grab and sometimes-fall outcomes from the same input. This is the core mechanic of the game and it does not reliably work.
What works is the basic movement. Walking and standard jumping work fine. The character responds to input, and the platformer foundation is sound. The problem is everything that depends on the broken ledge-grab.
Twenty stages across two zones. Many stages have sequences that require precise ledge-grab timing, and these sequences are where the broken mechanic shows up most. Players who memorise the unreliable timing windows can clear the campaign, but it feels less like skill mastery and more like working around a bug.
Tested over two Cross-City Line train sessions and stopped because of the ledge-grab frustration. Touch and keyboard both demonstrate the same broken behaviour. The bug is in the game logic rather than the input handling.
Where the game tries hardest is the visual presentation, which is competent. The pixel art is fine. The animations are smooth. The visual side does not let down the package.
Where I would push back is the QA process. The core mechanic is broken in a way that should have been caught before release. A simple regression test would have flagged the inconsistent ledge-grab behaviour.
Two-and-a-half stars. Functional platformer mechanics paired with a broken core feature. Skip until the developer fixes the ledge-grab logic.
