Editor review

Moto Arc is a motorcycle racer focused on lean physics and corner-exit drive. Eight tracks. Eight bikes. The format is closer to MotoGP than to standard arcade racing, with cornering depending on body position as much as steering.

What works is the lean model. Bikes lean into corners with a separate input from steering. Steering controls the direction; lean controls the radius. This two-axis cornering creates depth that car-based racers cannot replicate. The lean-angle limit is the corner-speed limit, which gives moto racing its distinct skill ceiling.

Eight tracks across four world regions. Suzuka. Mugello. Phillip Island. Catalunya. The tracks are based loosely on real-world circuits and respect the original layouts enough that players who know the references will recognise the lines.

Tested mostly with gamepad. Touch with virtual stick and keyboard with arrow keys are supported but feel wrong. Moto racing depends on smooth analog input for the lean axis, and digital steering simply cannot reproduce the feel.

Where the format earns its three-and-a-half stars is the bike variety. The eight bikes cover different motorcycle classes including superbike, supersport, naked, and retro variants. Each class has a different handling profile that suits different rider styles. Cycling through the bikes lets you experience the format from different perspectives.

Where I would push back is the absence of a crash physics layer. When you crash, the bike resets to the track with a small time penalty and you continue. Real motorcycle racing has consequences for crashes; this game does not. A more involved crash recovery (where you have to remount the bike, for instance) would add stakes without making the format frustrating.

Three-and-a-half stars. Strong motorcycle racer with disciplined lean physics. The track roster is small and the lack of crash consequences keeps it from four.
