Editor review
Firing Line is a basic shooting-range shooter aimed at the casual audience. Static targets at various distances. Shoot for points. The format is the most basic version of the shooting-gallery format.
What works is the responsive input. Hit detection is reliable. Targets register correctly when hit. The basic shooter foundation is functional.
What does not work is the absence of design depth. Static targets only. No moving targets. No timer pressure. No variation beyond range-distance. The format is the shooting equivalent of a phone tap-game without the visual charm.
Tested over one Barcelona Sants commute session before stopping. Touch is the natural input. Mouse-click works fine. Keyboard is supported but feels wrong.
Where the game tries hardest is the cosmetic-weapon shop. Twenty different gun visuals through grindable currency. None affect gameplay. The cosmetic layer is the only progression.
Where I would push back is the monetisation pressure. Ad walls every five rounds. Persistent shop prompts. Paid skip option. The basic shooter underneath does not justify the monetisation pressure on top.
Two-and-a-half stars. Functional basic shooting-range game with heavy monetisation. Skip in favour of better casual shooters on this catalogue.
