Editor review

Shell Corridor is a corridor-shooter with auto-running and lane-shifting. Your character runs forward through corridors; enemies approach from ahead; you shift between lanes and fire. The format is reminiscent of Time Crisis (1995) with simpler aim mechanics.

What works is the auto-run pacing. Forward motion is automatic. Your input handles lane shifts and aim. This focused-input model keeps the gameplay tight despite the format's narrow scope.

What does not work is the visual repetition. Corridors all look similar. Enemies recycle the same three sprites across the campaign. The visual variety is thin for a format that depends on visual readability.

Twenty corridors across three themed zones. The themes are cosmetic-only; gameplay does not vary between zones. The campaign exhausts its content variety within the first zone.

Tested with mouse-aim plus arrow-key lane-shift. The hybrid input is comfortable. Touch is supported with on-screen lane buttons. Gamepad is also fine.

Where the game tries hardest is the boss corridors. Each zone ends with a boss-corridor where a single enemy with multiple attack patterns blocks the path. Boss design is the strongest part of the campaign.

Where I would push back is the absence of unlock progression. The same starting pistol carries through the entire campaign. Weapon variety would have been the obvious extension.

Three stars. Functional corridor-shooter with thin content variety. Skippable for shooter fans; more interesting alternatives exist on this catalogue.
