Sniper Perch is a sniper-focus shooter where the entire format is rifle-only long-range combat. You hold a fixed position; targets appear at various distances. Twenty missions.
What works is the ballistics. Bullet drop and travel time at realistic distances. Targets at 500m require leading by half a second; targets at 1000m require leading by over a second. The ballistics give the format its skill ceiling.
Twenty missions across four themed environments. Each mission has specific targets and limited ammo. Failing to identify the priority target wastes ammo and risks mission failure.
Tested with mouse-and-keyboard. Mouse precision is mandatory for the long-distance aim. Gamepad analog stick is acceptable but loses precision at maximum range. Touch is supported but the precision-aim cannot reliably reach the long-distance targets.
Where the design earns its three-and-a-half is the wind-and-elevation modeling. Wind affects horizontal trajectory; elevation affects bullet drop. Players who learn to read wind cues and adjust scope elevation are rewarded.
Where I would push back is the absence of mission variety. Twenty missions are all overwatch-from-a-fixed-position. A few moving-position or escort missions would have varied the format.
